Project Management
Projects often put demands on a business resource that they are ill equipped to meet without putting the day to day running of the business at risk. Projects can be additional internal workload such as a Business Improvement project or a change process. They can be internal whilst externally facing, such as a self-assessment review or a performance review, or can be a separate issue such as a lack of resource to set up and run a new contract due to an overlap with a contract due to end or to having secured a non-core piece of work. At times the requirement is simply additional skilled management support to ensure the completion of a programme of work that is under pressure.
Often the best solution is to secure the services of contract staff in an interim basis to supply the resource required. The resource could equally well close off the unfinished contract or set up and start running the new contract until regular staff become available.
